About this update

This latest update reflects both technical improvements and significant advances in our ongoing research.

On the technical side, we have undertaken a thorough revision of the site’s structure, replacing legacy and obsolete code with a more modern framework. At the same time, the design of the pages has been carefully harmonized to provide a clearer, more consistent reading experience.

On the research side, this update incorporates a substantial body of new and refined data. These additions draw on contributions generously shared by families, material available on the Geni platform, and a systematic AI-assisted analysis of 232 obituaries relating to members of the Porges family. These notices were published between 1877 and 1938 in the Neue Freie Presse (Vienna) and the Prager Tagblatt (Prague), two major Central European newspapers of their time.

Together, these efforts contribute to a more accurate, more comprehensive, and more coherent account of the Porges family history.
